Mine views

Diagnostic test was conducted based on the chapter Equations. I could identify their difficult area of portion and I prepared another lesson plan for remedial teaching by including more activities. This finds beneficial to them.

Through the achievement test, I was able to understand how much did the students understand the chapters Equations and Polygons. Almost all children scored good marks. And it reflects my teaching method was beneficial to them.

This was the final week of my teaching practice in the school.  Monday, I completed the whole portion and revised the chapters for exam preparation. I provided extra questions and made them to solve it by themselves. The next day also I tried to revise the portions and focussed on the important and difficult topics. When I got another extra period in 8 F, I showed them some models related to polygons as to make them interesting.   The next day onwards, their Onam exams started and we all trainees had exam duty in different classes.  On the last day that is 26th, my dearest students gave me some precious gifts and I gave back them chocolates. Also, I gave a special gift to my concern Maths teacher. She gave me good compliments about my teaching. I felt so happy and satisfied. We took photos along with students. Thus, we officially completed the second phase of teaching practice with great and memorable experiences. 

Seventh week of teaching practice was just amazing. The first day of this week was independence day. It was celebrated in the school campus with national songs, posters and dance performance.   Next day, I was able to complete the portions. Then I revised the whole portions again for the students. Then I corrected their notebooks and made them to complete their pending notes.  Then I conducted a test paper on Saturday since Saturday was a working day. I corrected their answer sheets and gave a gift to the child who secured high marks.  This week we had delicious meals.  And also made students to practice Thiruvathira for onam celebration.

This innovative work exhibits the sum of outer angles of any polygon is 360°. Picking the outer angles from each polygon and placing it on the blank circle illustrates the sum of outer angles is equal to the total angle in a circle that is 360°.

It was the sixth week of my teaching practice.  I was able to teach my students well. Tuesday was a holiday due to Muharam, but the other four days had gone well. Students asked their doubts and I was able to clear it all.  On Friday, students had a poster making competition related to Independence day.  We were in charge to manage them. Students are highly talented in drawing skill. Also on that day, Kiran sir came for the class observation. It was a nice week of teaching experience.

Cognitive map is a visual representation of a concept. The key elements in a cognitive map is placed in boxes, circles, to distinguish the relationship between the concept and the key elements.  This helps to develop the critical thinking skills in students. 

Fifth week of teaching practice started freshly on August 1st Monday. I decided to start the new chapter Polygons.  I started the chapter by showing a video explaining the meaning of polygons and different types of polygons.  Then I showed students a slide presentation which explains how to make polygons by joining dots.  Students understood the portion clearly. I made them to find out and identify various polygons in our surroundings. The next two days were leave due to heavy rainfall.  Then on Thursday I restarted te chapter. Then I moved to the portion sum of angles and outer angles of polygons.  As usual, in these days we took part in the mid day meal section and in the discipline duty.
