Weekly Journal

As part of the B Ed curriculum, I selected VVHSS Boys Nemom School for my teaching practice. It is a two week program which starts on 10 th January. Four more student teachers accompanied me to this practice section. 

But unfortunately we couldn't take any class for the students, since they had second term examination. We were given exam hall duties and we had done our work with our full efforts. 

It was a nice experience to be an examiner in the exam hall and to monitor each students. First day, my duty was to monitor class 10 students. Next day it was a partial leave due to a strike. So there were no exams on that day. But we the student teachers spend our time in the school till afternoon. Then in third day, I got duty to examine 9th standard examination. Also after the exam, I got an opportunity to manage the class of 7th standard. In day four, I got duty on class 5. Questions were written on the blackboard. It was a great experience and pleasure to spend time with small children. There were so innocent and obedient students. Next day it was a leave due to Thaipongal. Then comes the sixth day, I monitored eighth standard students for their exam. Those students were a little bit vigorous to manage. But I tried my level best to manage them. 

The Principal and the teachers were kind-hearted and well behaved towards us. We felt so comfortable in the school. Eventhough it was a pandemic situation, we didn't feel any kind of discomfort at school. 

 We are eagerly waiting for next week to get classes for practising our teaching skill.
